Flowers that look so real you want to lean forward to catch their scent and intense portraits that retain a veil of mystery. The work of figurative artist Rodolfo Villaplana (born 1975) uses colours in a bold and striking manner. In 2013 he was endorsed by the Young Masters 2013 panel; in 2014 he exhibited at the London Art Fair and PINTA. In 2015 he participated in the Art Venice Biennale3 and also did a solo show in MoMa Tbilisi. He was chosen to represent the UK in the Iranian Biennale of Art in the summer of 2016. Rodolfo is currently exhibiting at D-Contemporary Gallery in London until 10th March 2017.
